HITCHCOCK SCRIPTS

Tom Hitchcock is an award-winning Suffolk-based script writer.  Tom began performing with his local pantomime group at the age of 11 and wrote his first script at the age of 19.  Apart from experience on-stage, he has directed, produced and technical directed a variety of shows for various local amateur dramatics groups, so has had to adapt to working with various budgets, abilities, ages and performance spaces.  This has influenced how Tom writes his scripts and he is well-known for being able to write scripts that can be performed in any sized performance space, making his scripts very desirable to a broad range of theatre groups. 
 

In 2012, Tom co-founded an amateur dramatics group, Six Acre Productions, who have often been the first group to perform many of his original scripts.

In 2020, Tom won the Millennium Writer's Award for Best Original Script 2019/20 from the North Essex Theatre Guild for two of his original scripts, jointly.
