How would scripts be provided?
You will be sent a downloadable copy for printing. If you wish to have comb-bound hardcopies supplied to you, these are charged at £6 per copy + collective postage.

What is the pricing structure? 

Script hire: £150 or £60/performance - whichever is greater.

Script hire per performance is at a discounted rate of £30 for the first 5 shows then increases to the standard £60/performance thereafter. 

Commissioned scripts: £300 (including a £75 non-refundable deposit) then £10p/h edits thereafter. 
 

How long does it take for a commissioned script to be written?

A commissioned script can take between 6 -10 weeks to be written. This allows for planning time, as well as actual writing time. Sometimes the time frame can be extended if another commission is currently being written at that time.

What permissions do I have over a commissioned script?

Hitchcock Scripts retains all rights to the commissioned script, plot, characters held within, and their names, as such all are copyright of Hitchcock Scripts. However, Hitchcock Scripts are not able to use the script until it has been first performed by you  (the commissioner). Once a script has been approved you have one year in which to perform it from the agreed performance dates on the forms sent out on the signed agreement, This allows for cancelations and a rescheduling of performance dates due to illness, etc. After that year is up, Hitchcock Scripts will proceed to upload the script for hire on their website. You may use the script as many times as you wish after the original agreed performance dates, however, you will need to contact Hitchcock Scripts for a performance license (at a reduced rate), updating us on the location of the performance and dates. This will enable Hitchcock Scripts to keep track of any hire clashes, as per our hire radius boundary as described in the hire agreement.

Would multiple groups be performing a pre-written script at the same time? 

It is first come, first served and not within a 10-mile radius of other groups and within 3 months of each other.

For murder mystery scripts - are participation packs included/available? 

Yes they can be, but at a charge.
